The experience of being there to help with the housekeeping assisting with their meals and laundry. What I enjoyed the most was their company being around to listen to their concerns and their stories about their lives. Being company to them if just for four hours as it meant a lot to them helping them deal with loneliness and struggling with housekeeping and the preparation of meals.
What I wish was different
That I could have had more hours as I could only work part time.
Advice
The elderly are people who deserve better from family as well as friends we as a nation need to reach out to our elders with more compassion their lives matter. We need to make time for our loved ones as well asassist in their well being.
