We are seeking a Learning Support Tutor who will bring a strengths-based approach to supporting a wonderful 3rd grade gifted learner who has identified learning challenges. Working closely with the school support team, including the lead teacher and parents, the Tutor will push into the classroom to support student accommodations and monitor growth and progress, and will additionally provide regular communication to parents and teachers. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in instructional practices and experience implementing learning accommodations. The candidate will also bring a warm presence and a love for working with children.
Qualifications:
BA required
Coursework in instructional strategies
A minimum of three years successful teaching, tutoring, or learning/writing specialist experience
Experience supporting student accommodations and monitoring learning progress
Experience working with elementary age students
Flexibility and creativity in working in a dynamic, collaborative environment
Openness to feedback and growth
Excellent communication skills
Compensation: Competitive and Commensurate with the Bay Area
