Charitable Progams and Community Relations Intern

July - August 2018 • Richmond, VA

What I liked

I loved being able to get an inside look of what it's like to work for a professional sports organization. I was able to analyze what different departments do, which has given me insight on possible career paths. I also enjoyed expanding my professional network and working with students from all over the country!

What I wish was different

I wish that the training camp experience would've been a little bit longer. Although i thoroughly enjoyed my time there, I wish I had a chance to experience all aspects of training camp outside of Community Relations.

Advice

A piece of advice i'd share is remember that you're only an intern, and you have a long way to go. Sometimes it will seem like you're given boring or monotonous tasks, but every task has a purpose. You should prepare yourself to be willing to do anything that your supervisor asks with a smile and without hesitation.

Partnership Marketing Intern

May - August 2017 • Ashburn, VA

What I liked

You learn a lot about the sports industry and make meaningful connections.

What I wish was different

I didn't get much responsibility or much work at all, the internship program there is very underdeveloped.

Advice

If you intern at this location make the most of it by trying to network as much as possible, taking on as many tasks as you can and being smart about your decisions and actions.
