Rancho Cucamonga Quakes

Photography and Marketing/Promotion Intern

April - September 2019 • Rancho Cucamonga, CA

What I liked

The atmosphere around being with a minor league baseball team is small but it is packed with responsibilities and action. There rarely is any down time, but there is boring task when working in sports. The culture is friendly and fun, but hunkered down once game day arrives, 70 times a season. Having the opportunity to take pictures in the dugout and interact with the players is not an experience id trade for anything.

What I wish was different

As much work as it was working 70 home games, i wish there had been more games. Something i cant control was the pace of play of the game, if only the team could have played shorter games.

Advice

Any job in sport is going to be full of tasks, no two days will ever be the same. Always network when you have the chance. Keep expanding who you know. It was networking while at this position that led me to interview and accept a new internship once this was done.
