What I liked

Wide breadth of exposure, great diversity of projects, high visibility, and supportive, positive culture

More defined roles, lots of ambiguity as to my responsibilities

Advice

Great for exposure to different business areas but requires a high level of initiative and self-starting

Innovation intern

May - August 2019 • Atlanta, GA

What I liked

The culture and work i was doing was amazing. I was doing work on new products, lab testing, etc. the people were great to work with too.

What I wish was different

Sometimes the program seemed unorganized. I wasn’t always sure what it’d be doing next

Advice

Work hard & share your ideas. Even if you think it’s not a good idea it usually sparks something that is.

Mechanical Engineering coop

May - August 2019 • Montgomery, AL

What I liked

Lots of opportunities to learn new things if you so choose. Some great coworkers especially if working with Lab, Model Shop, and Plant.

What I wish was different

Needs better organization and structure of coop term. A clear definition of what they want from each coop would be good. Also there were times when I was assigned busy work that was of no real benefit to myself or the company.

Advice

Make sure you don’t just do nothing if you are not provided with things to do. Ask for things to do.
