About Rochester Public Library

The Rundel Memorial Building and the Bausch and Lomb Public Library Building, at 115 South Avenue in downtown Rochester, serve as the Central Library of Rochester and Monroe County and the operational hub of the MCLS. The MCLS is funded by New York State, member libraries and Monroe County; MCLS services are provided under a contract with the Rochester Public Library.

Services provided under the MCLS include a comprehensive telecommunications network, library asset management system (catalog), shipping and delivery services, outreach services, interlibrary loan services, administrative and technical support to member libraries, and the coordinated purchases of electronic resources.
