The New Royal Bluff Orchards, LLC (NRBO) owns and operates two tree-fruit orchards in the heart of the Columbia Basin near Royal City, WA. Located in a prime growing region, these well-established business operations produce high quality fruit that is distributed throughout the United States. Operating in a stable industry sector with consistent demand, these well-managed orchards have delivered consistent returns for investors.
1. Royal Bluff Orchard was developed in 1982 with the purchase of 70 acres of undeveloped farm land. The management team acquired and planted Granny Smith apple trees, and has farmed them successfully since then. A key to our success has been the management and operations team that has worked together for almost twenty-five years, resulting in a well respected and profitable orchard operation.
Since the first harvest, the orchard has experienced consistent yields of high-quality fruit, and produced an average of 70 bins to the acre annually. Royal Bluff Orchard is located in the Columbia River Basin approximately three miles southwest of Royal City, Washington, on a gentle sloping hillside facing the southeast called the “Royal Slope.” This location is well-suited for the cultivation of tree fruits.
2. Crave Organics consists of approximately 170 acres of prime orchard land that has been developed to grow a mixture of apple varieties, including Honeycrisp, Granny Smith, Gala, and Fuji. The orchard also has about ten acres planted in cherries. The property is located approximately three miles from Royal Bluff Orchard.Crave Organics has been a fully certified organic orchard since its inception in 1993, and thus its fruit commands a higher price in the market. The superior returns for this property have been achieved in large part because Dain Craver, who serves as Chief Horticultural Office for The New Royal Bluff Orchards, is one of the top organic orchard specialists in the State of Washington. He has worked with Royal Bluff team since 1989.
