Great way to gain some experience and create portfolio pieces. Relatively easy to get started for the project with bi weekly meetings for all of the leads. Great way to learn how to function as a team and gain some knowledge about the industry.
What I wish was different
A lot of people didn't participate in the internship despite being enrolled and with some of the interns doing little to no work. Communication was also an issue if a task relied on someone who was unresponsive.
Advice
Stay motivated and aim to impress as it will quickly make you stand out from others. Use this as an opportunity to learn and work on your own skills while still aiding the project. Keep notifications on and make sure you are always meeting with your team as communication will solve countless problems.
