It's a very rewarding job. Building relationships with my coworkers and clients while coming together to reach a common goal is very fulfilling.
What I wish was different
I wish there wasn't such a high turnover in this field. There are always staff changes, which interrupts consistency and scheduling, both for the staff and clients.
Advice
It is important to always act with professionalism, but it is just as important to make a group home feel like home for everyone involved. Build healthy relationships with your coworkers and your clients - a good team dynamic is a miracle worker!
