Salem Health is a not-for-profit health system that includes Oregon's award-winning Salem Hospital main campus in Salem, a regional referral center; West Valley Hospital , a critical-access hospital; and Salem Health Medical Group comprised of family medicine clinics and specialists.
Salem Health is guided by a 15-member volunteer Board of Trustees. The health system is the area's largest private employer, with more than 5,500 full- and part-time employees. The health system has 924 active medical staff members, representing 46 different specialties. The providers and hospital staff provide high-quality, compassionate care to people in and around Oregon’s mid-Willamette Valley.
Salem Hospital is a Level II trauma center and is the largest acute-care hospital in Oregon with 644 acute-care beds. In 2010, Salem Hospital received the coveted Magnet award for excellence in patient care and has remained designated since.
