I learned about economic development and how an EDC coordinates with local city entities such as the Chamber of Commerces ,county courthouse,police departments etc. I learned how the EDC assist incoming and existing businesses retaining economic development and creating an influx of development in the community as well to better the people. I like that I got to work on environmentally challenging project such as making a portfolio on who to contact and how to do it for removing a Brownsfield site , I also got to work on projects such as initiating city playgrounds to not only improve the county is environmental status but also improve the health of those Within its environment.

Advice
Go into an internship with a firm handshake and eye contact. These people don’t have much time in their day, and they don’t have time to deal with a timid intern, be confident, believe in yourself you’re there for a reason.
