Our mission is to cultivate a safe space for womxn to socialize, read, teach, and learn from and about each other. We encourage the creation and discussion of art and literature through an intersectional lens, with an emphasis on blackness and gender.
We plan to compile submitted work in 2 separate annual publications: our premier literary magazine, Sapphire Hues, and an online zine called “Black And…”, designed to highlight the work of local high school aged students. We are establishing regular online programming/events, such as our “Books & Booze” discussion group and associated blog page.
