I liked getting to experience a real-world office setting and learn about interactions between coworkers and how an organizational culture can affect the attitudes of the people who work there. There are a lot of wonderful people at SEMCOG.
What I wish was different
I wish the pay was higher, but it's a governmental position so the benefits package made up for it.
Advice
Sit back and observe before becoming involved in friend groups. Watch the way people speak to their coworkers, managers, the executive office, everyone has their own way that is best to communicate with them.
