Quality Engineering Intern

May - August 2022 • Atlanta, GA

What I liked

The company was very welcoming and the working environment was amazing. Everyone from the manager treated me like an equal despite being a first-time intern. I learned so much from my internship

What I wish was different

I wish I was been given more work to do. Most of the time, I was asking for work

Advice

Always be hungry and have the drive to learn. What you know will only be the blueprint to getting your job or employment offer. Once you reach there, you have to learn more technologies and how best your expertise can be helpful to the company.

Software Engineering Intern

June - August 2018 • San Diego, CA

What I liked

I enjoyed the company culture. The separation between employees was about half the size as the barriers in normal cubicles, so collaboration was encouraged, and I ended up getting employees to help me for hours at a time. I loved how they were able to just suspend what they were doing to help an intern.

What I wish was different

I wish I had gotten to know people better. I think the experience they provided was great, but I should have done a better job making connections with the employees there.

Advice

Do your best, and don't be afraid to ask for help.

Finance Intern

May - August 2018 • Santa Clara, CA

What I liked

The company's culture and product. They have a great work life balance and gave even the interns opportunities to contribute to the entire company's success. The company is growing so fast that there are so many opportunities for future career growth, but also opportunities to contribute in large ways as a new employee. The leadership talent was the most impressive to me. Their executives are all so solid. Their CEO used to be the CEO of Ebay/Paypal, and then Bain before that. Their head of HR used to be head of HR at Linkedin but both made the switch to ServiceNow because they believe in it so much.

What I wish was different

The living expense is really high in the bay area.

Advice

Look for opportunities to go above and beyond with your projects. Don't wait to be told what to do. If you know a project may be given to you soon, research it now. Little research that I did on various company topics gave me a leg up in future meetings that made me stand out as exceptional and get the return offer. Take initiative with your assignments and run with them. Look for ways to improve and make the processes more efficient.
