May 2017 • King George, VA

What I liked

Being able to connect with the people in the community.

What I wish was different

Manager efficiency. It would often take several minutes to get ahold on a front-end manager. Which frustrates customers.

Advice

Take peoples opinions with a grain of salt. Some people just need someone to be mad at.

Retail Stocker

May - December 2019 • Layton, UT

What I liked

It was easy to get hired and isn't that hard of a job.

What I wish was different

Personal Shopper

May - October 2019 • Meridian, ID

What I liked

I could easily receive the time off I requested, and the pay was good, though maybe not sufficient for what I was doing.

What I wish was different

Management rarely respected schedules, and it was very isolating work. Also, managers often had no communication with each other, chaos was a regular part of the job.

Advice

Only work for Walmart if you have better things to do after you leave work.

Service Desk Associate

June - September 2019 • Cedar Hills, UT

What I liked

Good place for a summer job. Worked a lot of hours so I could save up money for school. Awesome coworkers.

What I wish was different

My store was short staffed through the summer so I was covering multiple areas in every shift. It would have been nice to not have been so spread thin.

Advice

It's a retail position, so you get some amazing customers and you get some pretty bad ones. Retail is always kind of hard because of that. Just do your thing and not worry too much about it.
