I loved being able to interact and build rapport with a variety of patients. Providing patient care and having conversations about vision health built my understanding about the knowledge needed for the profession. My favorite part was operating each ophthalmic instrument and explaining their function and data results to patients.

Advice
It's a wonderful experience if you are interested in becoming an optometrist or ophthalmologist. Also if you are interested in healthcare this position helps you understand medical billing and insurance. Being that they are a new establishment, they were understaffed so one must be prepared to be cross trained for various positions.
