The Somali-American United Council of Arizona is a non-profit organization that serves refugees from different ethnic groups. Our organization has been approved by the Arizona Office of Refugee Resettlement as a Refugee Community Center. The mission of our organization is not only to successfully resettle refugees in our community, but to support them on the road to self-sufficiency. We are a group of leaders from Somalia, Congo, Ethiopia, Sudan, Syria, Eritrea, and other east African countries that work in collaboration with community volunteers to serve refugee families. We offer free English as a Second Language Classes, Citizenship & Naturalization classes, Cultural Adaptation classes, Women Empowerment seminars, Youth Empowerment seminars, etc. Together as a team and with the support of faith based organizations and kind-hearted volunteers work together to guide, teach, and empower refugees to become productive and law abiding citizens of the United States of America.
