I loved being an intern at Southern Botanical. They have a great internship program which allows interns to rotate through the company and then choose a department to focas on. Because of the rotations I was able to have a wide variety of experiences. I spent two weeks shadowing various managers and superintendents. I went with them to meetings and different job sites. As I spent time with them I asked questions that helped me understand how the company worked and the many different positions offered within the company. I spent a month working on different crews in the field. This experience helped me to understand the labor involved with every project. This helped me later as I worked in the office. This internship has helped me figure out what I most enjoy doing, and the direction I want to head in the landscape industry.

The culture of Southern Botanical is amazing. They all care about each other and are focused on work/life balance. They took time to show me all facets of the company, and then allowed me to focus where I wanted to be.
