Some of the students didn't care to do their own work.
Advice
Make sure you set boundaries about when people can contact you (it's often late or at inconvenient times). Don't give your phone number to people, use email or slack.

The only thing I wish would have been different is my boss's boss not changing the dynamics of our team mid-camp since it threw off our rhythm.
Advice
Middle schoolers sre incredibly apathetic, so learn how to appease them.

What I liked
I like how easy it is to come in and get work done in between my classes. The research experience has been incredibly valuable to my undergraduate career and for what I want to do in the future.
What I wish was different
I wished I had more free time during the day, but the experience has been worth it.
Advice
If you're thinking about getting involved in research, give it a shot! You never know what you might find that you really enjoy.
