This was my first time working for a sports team and I loved how fast-paced this internship was. The majority of the internship took place at Bob Wren Field in Athens, aside from away games. The other interns were very enthusiastic and the Media Box was a great environment.
What I wish was different
If I could change anything, I would wish it was a bit more organized. Since the organization is student-run, there were a few hiccups -- one of the two directors of the media team ended up taking a position elsewhere a week before the season began, which disrupted the structure and work distribution at first.
Advice
A lot of work goes into putting a baseball game together and representing a sports team accordingly. If you're a writer, get to know the coaches and the players so they feel more comfortable being interviewed post-game.

Ticket Sales Intern

What I liked
I loved the small business feel the Copperheads organization. It made a very comfortable work environment that brought the interns close together. It also provided a work environment that helped us succeed. The small feel and closeness brought us together to push towards a goal.
What I wish was different
Nothing with the internship I would change. I did work at my job at the same time which disallowed me to take full advantage of the experience, though. I would have changed my work schedule to provide more time to focus on the internship.
Advice
I would share that the Copperheads is an amazing opportunity that gives you a good introduction into the sports' industry. Do not take the experience lightly, and make sure to take full advantage to be the best you can be in the position. You meet amazing people who can help you in the industry down the road, as well as gaining extremely applicable experience for your future. Take advantage of this opportunity!!

Advice
Don't be afraid to pitch any idea you have or try anything. This experience was about implementing your business into a real scenario and real team. If it doesn't work then that's OK. If you fail, learn from your mistakes and improve from them.
