Tram driver

June 2019 • Webster, TX

What I liked

I loved learning about the history of space travel and so many interesting things about space in general. I felt like I was a part of history because I got some really unique experiences to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the moon landing. And I definitely felt like I had a worth while job for the summer.

What I wish was different

I kind of wish that my hourly wage was a bit higher but honestly for all of the great experiences I had there I think it equalled out.

Advice

People ask me alot how I got that job, but honestly just go to their website and send in an application. They'll call for an interview and if you seem qualified you will most likely get rhe job. Get an in into the company and then work your way up. I met alot of people that worked in the offices at the space center that said that they started out as tram guides or guest services. So just go for it and you can definitely achieve your goal, whatever it may be.
