What I liked

I loved the relaxed and comfortable atmosphere despite the busy job. While Spark Alliance is a newer entertainment marketing company, it is constantly growing and working with a lot of different brands. I love the professional staff, as they were very warm and welcoming. It was a great way to get hands on experience in the crazy entertainment marketing field, as it wasn't too demanding and jam packed. It was perfect because it was part time and worked with my schedule, as my employers said they wanted me to enjoy my summer as well. The location was also optimal, as it was located in Calabasas near a lot of shops and resturaunts. Overall, it was one of the best summer expeirences I've had, as it was fun, flexible and provided great knowledge.

What I wish was different

I wish I could have stayed longer, as I had RA training I had to move in for. The only thing I wish was different was getting to work personally with social media influencers. The social media department was new and I was the first intern for that department. We planned on working with social media influencers for our multiple marketing campaigns by the end of the summer, but we were too busy until I ended the internship.

Advice

Get to know your employers, bosses, anyone above you. Ask them questions and become personal with them. I learned a lot that way and it was interesting to hear their stories. Additionally, get to know your co-interns, as those relationships made the job fun, as we would laugh together or struggle together about the same things.
