I enjoyed being in discussions about SpeakEasy’s progress in DEI policies, especially during a time when this is a crucial part to company success. The organization and everyone involved was welcoming and helpful and I feel like I learned a lot through my virtual experience.

What I liked

Everyone at Speakeasy was always willing to answer my questions and provide me with the most possible knowledge I could gain.

What I wish was different

I wished that I had been involved in a hands on way in more productions. Since I interned in the summer, I was only involved directly in the theatre for two shows. So, if I had interned during the school year I probably would have been involved in more. I enjoyed the work I did in the office, but feel I would have learned more about technical theatre had I been there for more productions' tech weeks.

Advice

To ask as many questions as possible. People enjoy students who are enthusiastic about their career and who are eager to learn, so don't be embarrassed.
