I learned an incredible amount of necessary lab skills, significantly improved my analysis ability, and produced work for a cause I was genuinely interested in.
What I wish was different
Not much! I did wish I had more time.
Advice
Throw yourself into the work, and MAKE CONNECTIONS. The more social capital you gain, the more likely they will ask you back and hire you in the future. It sounds self-centered, but JUST DO IT.
