I enjoyed gaining experience teaching underprivileged high school students about programming and technology
What I wish was different
I wish we thought the course in a classroom with a projector already set up and the students had laptops rather than teaching the class in a cramped computer lab.
Advice
I would advise to be very flexible in your teaching schedule, as some days students will be more productive than others. Also come up with multiple projects for the students to do ahead of time that are applicable to real world experiences.
