What I liked

I like the fact that as I was guiding the kids through their science projects I was also learning science along with them. Overall it was a learning experience, not just for the kids but for me as well. Working with kids taught me how to slow down and be patient.

What I wish was different

I wish that I could have had a little while longer with the kids and I also wish I could have stuck with the same group of kids. I also wished I could have received more training to be as efficient as possible when doing the science projects.

Advice

IMPROVISE! Some science projects that we were told to do with the kids were either difficult for the age of students we were working with or the projects were new to our eyes and we had little-to-no preperation time. When this problem occured I improvised. I simply searched up the science concept and tried to understand how the project relates to the concept while working through the projects with the kids.

What I liked

The friendly atmosphere. Everyone there is willing to help and the experience with the children an their activities is amazing!

What I wish was different

Honestly, I have no complaints. The team is very responsive to suggestions and concerns from their workers. They will be just as open to you, as you are to them!

Advice

Make sure that you have a love for children and learning. The job is definitely one that encourages the growth of children, but you too will grow and learn in the process.
