What I liked
I liked being in the field and gaining on-site experience. Interacting with all different tiers of workers and being able to network was insightful.
What I wish was different
Some times the hours were long or I would have to travel far, but construction being what it is you learn to adjust.
Advice
I’m majoring in transportation and to get out there and see real world applications of roads being built was a great foundation for my career. All construction starts from the soil so whatever your emphasis is, this is a great place to start.
