SEA provided a great holistic view of the M&A process, from pitching to a client to engage with us to negotiating the sale to ringing the closing bell. Lots of hands-on work and the opportunity to work directly with experienced managing directors to help entrepreneurs achieve liquidity.

Be very familiar with accounting (GAAP) before the internship starts - you'll be thrown headlong into financial statements and valuation models.

What I liked
Great mentorship from Curt and Rob. They invest heavily in the interns and give you responsibility from the beginning. The better quality your work, the more opportunities you receive. Great work like balance as well as a holistic view of investment banking - from first call to close.
