What I liked

Very interesting projects including working on several $13 million plus dollar homes. Small company structure gave me lots of opportunities to learn several different areas of project oversight.

What I wish was different

Everyone was so busy that it took a month or so to get into a swing of work volume to keep me busy. A larger company might have had more experience with using "temporary" employees and having structure to provide a well-rounded work experience.

Advice

As an intern, definitely don't be afraid to speak up about not being kept busy. I didn't want to come across as complaining for the longest time and finally said something and they were glad to accommodate changes to my daily routine that allowed me to get different experiences and see projects from different viewpoints of responsibility.
