Language Translator

What I liked

This company is very friendly. I love it because I feel welcome whenever I want to ask questions. Not only I earned a lot of experience at translating documents, but also I learned how to deal with people relationship. For example, I am involved with the company more as the day goes on and I learned a lot of things inside the company(the things that are not related to my job title). It is just feels good to do things sometimes that does n't need to worry about your job title.

What I wish was different

I wish I had a stronger language writing background. Even though I was born and raised in China, but I moved to the US when I was 17 and I stopped practicing my Chinese hand writing. So it is difficult for me to write words sometimes(I space out a little bit).

Advice

I would advice the job applier to have more experience at the handwriting, there were a lot of time that I had to write things down in the meeting in term of translations. In my opinion, Chinese handwriting can be very challenging when people trying to learn them. But it definitely be a HUGE plus if the job appliers can master the Chinese handwriting before applying for translator job positions.
