This was a great summer experience! I had a lot of freedom to explore and create content that I was interested in making, while also having weekly check-ins for any feedback I wanted or questions I might have.

Advice
Especially if you're working from home, be sure to take advantage of Slack and email--just because you're going to see your supervisors in a few days doesn't mean you should wait a few days! That way you keep up momentum.

What I liked
I loved working at an organization centered around sustainability. I had an amazing advisor who provided tons of guidance, and we became quite close over this year of working together. She has done a ton of great work for the Walla Walla community, and her passion was inspirational.
What I wish was different
I wish that we could have executed the last of our events we had spent the previous year planning. However, the pandemic changed these plans, and I am now just hopeful to continue with event planning in the future.
Advice
Stay organized, be communicative with your advisor, document on a spread sheet or word doc exactly who you communicate with (community partners, schools, etc) and dates of this communication. It is crucial to be on top of your work and set deadlines for yourself to stay on track for upcoming events.
