What I liked

I definitely liked the diversity in the tasks we had to accomplish. We covered jobs such as setting up new tech equipment, checking servers, organizing storage, dismantling laptop parts, and helping teachers with tech problems.

What I wish was different

I wish there was less moving from building to building which would become tedious closer to the end of the internship when we were tasked with setting up new smartboards, testing, and marking them off within the entire school district.

Advice

IT is a multitude of different tasks that need to be met and range from difficult to simple. It is a significant branch of tech jobs within school districts, colleges, offices, etc. I personally felt that it is often overshadowed by the likes of cybersecurity, data analytics, and other jobs from large tech companies.
