The internship was very insightful and allowed me to build and polish various skills. The People Team is great and super helpful. They truly want their intern to learn and grow and they help facilitate that. The office also offers a lot of free food!
What I wish was different
I wish I realized that I didn't like HR as much as I thought I did earlier. I could've explored the business' others segments of I had come to that realization earlier.
Advice
Do not be passive during your internship. If you are actively involved in defining your internship experience you will gain more from it. Network with others in the office as well. The office is pretty small and most people are approachable so don't be afraid to spark up a conversation.

What I liked
The people were very invested in creating a wholesome, challenging, and fun internship experience. They were adamant about not overworking the interns and made sure people weren't staying late. My supervisor was hands-on in teaching me and carved time out of his very busy schedule to help me develop new skills. I was never bored and always had assignments to finish and deadlines to meet.
What I wish was different
I wish there could have been transportation subsidies for interns or some kind of other assistance because costs really add up in New York City and there was no housing assistance either.
Advice
Come in ready to make an impact. This company has so much going on and if you are proactive you can get involved on some awesome projects and make a measurable difference. Don't be afraid to ask for help either because everyone is so willing to teach you and they all come from amazing backgrounds with impressive experiences.
