I loved the working environment, everybody is helpful and there's a great team spirit.
I had the change to work for the Clinics manager and also for the Director of Community Outreach programs.
What I wish was different
I wish it would have been a regular semester internship and not a short one because I would have had more time to learn and contribute to the job. I was the first Public Health major they hired and it took them a while to see where I could be of more help.
Advice
I would totally encourage Public Health majors to apply and try to work with the Director of the Community Outreach programs. She is the one organizing and dealing with areas where we can help as Public Health majors.

What I liked
I enjoyed the people that I worked with and how willing they were to help me become more medically inclined and understanding of people's circumstances.
What I wish was different
I do wish that i had been given more opportunities to work with patients, however I understand that with my limited experience that such a desire could only be limited in scope.
Advice
Always be willing to learn more and fine tune your skills. I tried often to Shadow doctors and PA's so that I could see and understand better the workings of what I wanted to pursue.
