The Lead Financial Analyst will work alongside the Business Operations’ General Accounting team. You will serve as the lead reviewer for reconciliations, budget adjustments and other financial day to day activities; and provide expert technical assistance to the General Accounting team, agency staff and contracting entities. You will work under minimal supervision with extensive latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Coordinate and conduct monthly financial reconciliations of federal grants.

Coordinate with agency accounting personnel to ensure federal draws, expenditure transfers, budget entries and other transactions are completed monthly.

Review and conduct federal grant reporting to USDA.

Perform analysis to ensure timeliness of federal grant spending.

Develop processes, procedures and training materials for business operations staff.

Perform federal grant budget estimations to ensure they align with program initiatives.

Monitor federal grant reimbursements to ensure payments are completed accurately.

Coordinate system issues with staff and systems personnel to resolve in a timely manner.

Prepare F&N financial reports, forecasts and monitor financial performance.

Follow all TDA policies and procedures.

Perform other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s Degree with major coursework in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics or related field (one year of work experience related to the primary responsibilities may substitute for one year of college).

Three (3) years’ work experience with financial analysis processes and systems or accounting.

Work experience in a senior, coordinator, lead or supervisory role.
