Even if the research group you are placed in isn't your ideal one, keep an open mind because you might end up enjoying the research you're involved in.

I managed to learn alot about new data visualization tools with PHD students. I was also able to participate in 2 data analysis contests with group projects that are super productive

I wish I could access the texas tech lab but because of covid 19 I couldn't
