Thayer Academy

Thayer Academy (www.thayer.org), located in Braintree, Mass., and founded in 1877, enrolls approximately 690 boys and girls, one third in the Middle School (grades 6-8) and two-thirds in the Upper School (grades 9-12). The faculty numbers 90, including 60 in the Upper School. Average class size is 14-16 students. The mission of the Academy is “to inspire a diverse community of students to moral, intellectual, aesthetic, and physical excellence so that each may rise to honorable achievement and contribute to the common good.”
