I had the opportunity to teach and tutor students from Africa and help them with their English skills. I designed a curriculum to meet their needs. I was assisted by a great mentor.
What I wish was different
I wish I had more interaction with the students. I was working a few hours a week, which gave me the opportunity to explore the island, but I wish I had more class time to interact with the students.
Advice
Be flexible. No matter what your job position is, be ready to adjust to the situation and the circumstances.
