What I liked
Able to create and refine recipes. Constantly engaged in the work. Working with food is intrinsically rewarding.
What I wish was different
The unpredictable hours and late nights. In general people in the food industry are underpaid due to our society undervaluing prepared foods (small profit margins).
Advice
This industry helped me develop a great work ethic, I was also able to cultivate my culinary abilities and it helped me learn conversational Spanish (not fluent).
