I loved the atmosphere there at the office between all the bail disruptors. Everyone there working toward the common goal of battling mass incarceration. Most importantly, I liked that I was able to work one-on-one with clients while giving them access to resources they otherwise wouldn't if it weren't for The Bail Project. Seeng firsthand the effect that our work was having on the citizens of St. Louis. Interacting with different members of the community. The most important thing was that all the grassroots organizations and non-profits fighting for the cause were connected.
What I wish was different
Due to the legal battles going on at the time between the federal government and the city of St. Louis, I was unable to participate in or shadow my supervisor in her intake interviews.
