Summer Food Program

What I liked

I loved seeing the faces of children when they would come to the facility to get a snack. My mission was to stop hunger, and we ended up serving an unlimited amount of lunches to children within the thousands range.

What I wish was different

Food deliveries to the site were more convenient summer 2018. This year we had to transport ourselves to go pick up the food items.

Advice

Enjoy the time spent serving children, you never know if they have experienced hunger in the past or present. Luckily, the program decided to go all year-round instead of just for the summer time. I am responsible for documenting/issuing meals each day.
