The support I received as a participant in the CHOP Research Institute Summer Scholars Program was unmatched. I received training in research practices for human subjects, REDCap survey creation and tracking, and patient interaction tips. I had an amazing cohort during my time in the program, many of whom I still talk to today, and will never forget my experience.
What I wish was different
I wish I had taken advantage of the opportunities I had to connect with people in the field I am interested in more.

Take advantage of the connections you can make and the opportunities that are available to you! If you are interested in someone's research or career journey, just ask! Most people are more than happy to chat with you.
