The Citadel has been named Top Public College in the South by U.S. News and World Report for seven consecutive years. We are a four-year, public college in historic Charleston, S.C. offering a classic education in a military setting profoundly focused on leadership excellence. Graduates of The Citadel have served their nation, their state and their communities as principled leaders since the college was founded in 1842. The majority of our graduates pursue careers in private and public industries, education and non profits in all professions while about 30% commission into the military yearly. The Citadel Graduate College offers more than 60 master's degrees and graduate certificates in a wide range of disciplines, plus eight undergraduate programs, through an evening program.
