The professional environment. People had a positive attitude and recognized good, honest work.
What I wish was different
Communication. When I asked questions, my boss always gave me the most minimal answer possible, and she seemed distinctly uncomfortable whenever I questioned the organization's official position, which I only did to better understand it, and not to challenge it. Eventually, I learned simply not to ask, and I privately concluded that the organization's stance had unresolved contradictions and inconsistencies that my boss did not want to admit.
Advice
Be honest about what you can and cannot do. As long as your boss understands that you are willing to try, and that you are not trying to shirk your duties, you should let them know that you don't think you will have time to do everything they have asked of you. They would rather hear that than learn at the last minute that you are behind schedule.
