My team was very supportive and helpful. They gave me assignments that contributed to the business and were applicable to my own career interests. My manager, as well as other team members, were always available to me for help or to give me more opportunities.
The intern program is structured and well-developed. In the Bethlehem office, I had the opportunity to network and interact with other interns, across different departments. Through designed Learning Spotlights and Intern Day, I gained a broader knowledge about the company and got to connect with other interns and young professionals.

Advice
It is important to take initiative and put yourself out there. Guardian is a bigger company, and even with a good manager, it is easy to get lost in the shuffle and end up with nothing to do. As an intern, be willing to reach out to team members or even individuals in other business areas to learn as much as you can. Everyone I interacted with at Guardian was always welcoming and willing to meet with interns, so the burden is on you to forge those relationships!
