The Studio Museum has a rich and unique history to that of other museums in New York City. Everything within the Museum revolves around this history. Its unique nature was even reflected in the Museum's staff, departments, and the artists-in-residence who were there during my time. The Studio Museum stands out in the best possible way and lifts up its interns to do the same.
What I wish was different
My time while there was cut short because of the COVID-19 Pandemic. I wish I had gotten more time to spend there to learn while in the office and to visit places off-site with the team to learn in that way.
Advice
Take opportunities when you see them come because you never know if that'll be the only opportunity you get.
