What I liked

The people, environment and work that I was given made for an extremely beneficial and educational experience. I learned a lot about office management, philanthropy and event planning. I was pushed to refine my skills and get out of my comfort zone. Lastly, I was a trusted member of the team who felt valued and appreciated.

What I wish was different

I wish I had been paid as I put in 25 hours a week while taking 18 credits for school.

Advice

Building relationships with those in the office who are full time employees is critical. They are often times happy to share information about their experiences, career path or advice. If the relationship is positive, it could lead to a new opportunity or networking experience.
