I loved everything about this internship - I was given so many hands-on opportunities and learned more than I could have learned in a classroom! I appreciated how they took into account our goals and genuinely wanted to give us projects that aligned. They really treat all their interns like co-workers rather than interns, and my role was A&R but I also learned about things outside of that like social media management, marketing, sync, etc. I also loved getting to connect with the other interns and the work environment in general was super positive.
What I wish was different
Honestly nothing really that had to do with anything that could have been helped - as A&R I was seeking out artists to sign to a sub-label, and all of the recordings and releases are happening after the semester is over but that was just a time thing. They are allowing me to come see the recording process through of everyone I got signed anyways which is incredibly nice of them.

Sync Agent Intern
January - April 2021 • Nashville, TN
What I liked
I liked that the company was at a size and position that allowed interns to head different projects and do a lot of the groundwork. This internship pushed me to grow as a professional and to operate outside of my comfort zone. I also liked that the company helped us set personal goals and cared about our growth as individuals. The team is very open, fun, and kind. I would 100% recommend this internship if you would like to learn a ton and acquire hands-on experience.
What I wish was different
I wish the semester was longer. I honestly loved this internship and I would like to keep working with this amazing and inspiring team of individuals.
Advice
Treat this experience of working with a smaller company as you would treat your experience if you worked at a major label. If you put in the work and show up excited about what you're doing, you'll be able to leave here with skills that will make your resume shine!
