What I liked

My favorite aspects of the the internship were the team and our clients. My colleagues were extremely helpful as I was learning the ropes, and offered their time to help me get comfortable in the role, despite us all being remote. Our clients were so gracious and I really got to connect with them personally. It felt good to be helping small businesses grow and succeed every day. I also loved that I felt like a real employee, as opposed to an internship spent doing busy work and insignificant projects that never get used after the internship is over.

What I wish was different

I wouldn't really change a thing!

Advice

It was a bit scary to go into this internship, as I was the first intern with the company and knew I'd be moving to a new city where I didn't know anyone, especially for a remote job where I wouldn't be spending each day with coworkers. However, I was pleasantly surprised at how wonderful Portland, ME was in the summer and how easily I made friends in town. Plus, even though I never got to meet many of my colleagues in person, it felt like I knew them due to our constant online communication and everyone's willingness to help!
