Backed by Blue Sage Capital, Timber Automation provides engineered equipment, control systems, optimization technology and turnkey construction services for woodyards and sawmills that maximize yield, increase up-time and reduce production costs. Timber Automation began first as Hi-Tech Engineering in the early 90s and continued more recently as Baxley-LogPro from the mid-2000s. In 2015, private equity group Blue Sage Capital, based in Austin, TX, purchased a majority stake. In 2017 we formed Timber Automation, combining Baxley Equipment, LogPro and newly-formed Timber Automation Construction. In 2018 VAB Solutions joined Timber Automation as its newest division.
As Timber Automation, we now employ over 300 associates from our 145,000 sq ft office and fabrication facility located on 13.9 acres in Hot Springs, Arkansas, 45,000 sq ft fabrication facility in Baxley, GA, and our Canadian operations facility in Lévis on the south shore of Québec City.
